BIG SITES? BIG FILES? UPDATE USING TEXTPIPE™ AUTOMATION

Melbourne, Australia - April 3, 2000 - DataMystic Corporation releases TextPipe 4.6 for Windows 95/98/2000/NT, its enhanced text transformation workbench. TextPipe performs multiple text operations on files larger than 2 GB - in memory and in one pass. New features include support for extracting data from complex web docs, e-mail and other unstructured sources, support for user-defined filters written in JScript, VBScript, PerlScript etc, support for an embeddable Engine and improved debugging support.

Kirk Pinneo of SportMart.ca burns kiosk CDs after replacing 24 phrases on his 2100 page web site. "It's fantastic", says Kirk, "we couldn't survive without it. We schedule it to run each night." Search and replace is TextPipe's most powerful feature, with pattern matching, multi-line matching, sounds-like and binary file support.

TextPipe is a low cost alternative to complicated and time-consuming hand-coded solutions. Developers can rapidly design and test transformations for even the most complex collections of irregular data.

Mike Pullen of the Gutenburg Project receives hundreds of scanned and typed manuscripts. He uses TextPipe to clean up the most common grammatical errors and standardize punctuation and formatting.

David Udow of ArtStar.com uses TextPipe to convert Unix log files to PC format. End-of-line (EOL) conversion between Unix, PC, Mac and mainframe formats is a very important and often-used feature.

Integration with JustSoft Corporation's award-winning JustData delivers seamless transformation of irregular text files into all ODBC and SQL-92 compliant databases. The embeddable TextPipe Engine extends handling to live data feeds.

AVAILABILITY

TextPipe can be purchased from DataMystic's web site, and a free 30-day evaluation edition is also available for download.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

TextPipe requires Windows 95/98/2000/NT and 16MB of memory. The download file is 1.5 MB. Installation requires 1.7 MB disk space.
