If you find perl patterns tedious, obtuse or hard to learn, try EasyPatterns!
You can design EasyPatterns with the EasyPattern Helper, and even convert them
to perl patterns later.
- Paste the source text into the Test String area
- Write an EasyPattern in the EasyPattern area to match the text you are
searching for. Tip: Start with a small pattern then gradually add to it.
- Click F5 Parse (or enable Options\Reparse) to re-parse the pattern, then
click [Match First] to find the first matching text.
- Gradually refine your pattern until it matches exactly what you need.
- Use the final EasyPattern in an EasyPattern-enabled application (such as
TextPipe) directly, or convert the pattern to a perl pattern and then
use it in a non-EsayPattern-enabled application.
You can use the EaasyPattern right-click menu to assist you, or open the
EasyPattern Reference or the
EasyPatterns Primer as a guide.
