This filter is used to include or exclude either lines or bytes from the start or end of a file. It performs an extension of the functionality of the Unix head and tail commands. Include or ExcludeSpecifies whether to keep or remove the selected text. Normally you know how much text you wish to include or exclude eg 10 lines. Counting UnitsSpecifies the quantity of text and how it is to be counted, in lines or bytes. Where to Count FromStart Of File and From End Of File - specify where the text should be found – at the start or end of the processed text. See also |
