(Pro version only) Converts from Unicode to ANSI. Converts double byte Unicode characters to single byte ANSI characters. This filter can be useful if you want to send a text file to someone using a language other than your own. This function was originally included in older versions of TextPipe. To use this feature in conjunction with the new Unicode conversion functions, you must first convert from UTF-16LE to Unicode. This filter is often followed by a Remove start or end of file filter, to either remove the first two bytes of Unicode (before the conversion) or the first byte of ANSI (after the conversion), to remove the leading Unicode byte order mark (BOM).
