Converts from EBCDIC to ASCII. EBCDIC is the character collating sequence (order) commonly used on mainframes. Some characters cannot be converted because they exist in one character set but not the other.

If the EBCDIC to ASCII conversion doesn't suit you perfectly, use the Base Map On Filter List command to customize the translation.

If your document contains COMP fields or packed decimals, use the mainframe copybook wizard.
