TEXTPIPE TURBO-CHARGES TEXT TRANSFORMATION,
DATA CLEANSING AND WEB SITE MAINTENANCE
December 6, 1999 (Melbourne, Australia) -
Crystal Software Corporation releases TextPipe 4.4, its new text transformation
workbench for business analysts, web site maintainers, publishers,
system administrators and researchers.
TextPipe
enables complex text transformations (filters) to be defined, tested
and automated without programming. Filters include search/replace,
converting between PC, Mac and Unix file formats, adding, removing,
extracting and reformatting text.
"By
enabling our customers to manipulate text without complex
programming, TextPipe strengthens our strategic position in the
automated editing market," according to Simon Carter, CEO of
Crystal Software.
Products
like TextPipe are also an important part of the growing market for
data cleansing and conversion tools, particularly in the lead up to
Y2K. "More and more companies are using automated editors in
bottom-line, mission-critical applications," says Carter.
"TextPipe can be a major player in this arena."
Already,
Crystal Software has sold over 200 TextPipe licenses to Fortune 100,
banking, government, universities, mining and manufacturing
corporations, as well as hundreds of end users.
AVAILABILITY
TextPipe Personal Edition can be purchased for $70 from
Crystal Software's web site, and a free 30 day Evaluation Edition is
also available for download. A
Lite Edition (known as
TextPipe Standard Edition) is available for $29.99. Server,
