Inputting a link into message body

Post by lmascall » Tue Dec 02, 2003 1:10 am

Any way to insert a UNC path or a URL into the message body ?

I need to export the attachments (ideally inputting a link to where the file has gone or is due to go into the message body), then export the pst to a Access database. Then we can access the attachments by the link in the body of the message or by extracting that information into a seperate field.

Any ideas or gems of wisdom to help me in my quest ??

Hi Lee,

The old version worked that way, but we abandoned it because of the 3 different email body formats (plain text, RTF, HTML) and the difficulty in determining which was actually present due to bizarre implicit conversions between the formats. Is is HTML? Is it HTML encoded as RTF with extra tags to help it convert back to HTML? etc. Is it plain text encoded as HTML?
