Error message: The operation cannot be performed...

The operation cannot be performed because the message has changed.
I get this message when trying to process an incoming e-mail automatically. The message is then delivered to the inbox intact and can happily be processed (i.e. attachment detached and filed) by manually selecting the Detach File option.

I use Outlook 2003 in Internet only mode (POP3) on a Windows XP SP2 system. I am only on day 1 of evaluation and have not yet manged to get an incoming mail processed successfully.

Any ideas?

As a separate issue, is there any way to get forwarded mails to always re-attach the file rather than ask permission each time?

Hi Gary,

Are you using any other Outlook AddIns?

We'll try and get the Auto-attach for forwarded emails into the next release.
