We've had reports that TextPipe can be run under Linux using Parallel's Workstation for Linux.

We also have user reports that TextPipe will run under Linux's WINE emulator.

Items not available - generally provided by Windows APIs
    The Script filter is not available
    Database filter
    HTML Help - if you open Help expect TextPipe to crash on exit (due to a Windows HTML Help bug)
    Explorer Shell integration - doesn't work

1) WINE details:
a) Ubuntu Linux v 8.10, Linux Kernel version 2.6.27-9-generic, GNOME 2.24.1
b) WINE v1.0.1, configured to emulate WinXP

The below .reg file can be used to disable the initial dialogs such as the Wizard, Tips, help etc:

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DataMystic\TextPipe]
"showTips"=dword:00000000
"showWizard"=dword:00000001
"isFirstDay"=dword:00000000

Even with the workstation it doesn't seem to work too well on Linux for me. It's really slow.

Where can you get Phen375 if you are in the UK?

Well, there's lots of emulation going on. You have to expect that it wont be blindingly fast!
