Matching options dialog - add Set as default button

Postby DFH » Mon Feb 01, 2016 5:08 am

Whenever I add [say] a Perl replace filter, I nearly always have to change the matching options.

It would be very convenient to users for each Matching options dialog to have a button to Set current options as default.

btw. There are other filter settings where TextPipe remembers the last used options.
Sometimes this can be all too easily overlooked with unintended results.
e.g. When restrict matching lines was used with non-zero context before and/or after values.

It would be much better for all such settings to only become default by user intention, rather than by accident (as it were).

Best regards,

David

Logging options:

If you agree with my suggestion, please add the Set as default button to the dialog for Logging options too.
