File Size

Postby sheridany » Sat Jun 05, 2010 4:23 am

What is the largest text file size to work with in TP? I have a file of almost 1 mm records with three fields in it. The data is also in teradata so would datapipe be faster?

TextPipe's maximum file size is only dictated by Windows - 4 GB with a FAT32 file system, and 4 billion GB under NTFS.

If the data needs to stay in TeraData then use an DataPipe with an ODBC connection to TeraData to make the change directly there, rather than exporting and importing.
