Unicode tables and properties in PCRE ?
The last line of UTF-8 SUPPORT section in the Help page for Pattern Matching Reference is as follows: PCRE does not support the use of Unicode tables and properties or the Perl escapes \p, \P, and \X. Do the new libraries used in TextPipe 11.x now support Unicode tables and properties ? For examples...

Re: Subtle bug in Convert Numeric HTML/XML Entities to text
Related question, but the other way round... Do any of the new libraries used in TextPipe 11.x support the conversion of Unicode characters to numerical entities ? This would obviate needing to resort to a map . cf. Help for filter Convert Numeric HTML/XML Entities to text includes: To convert plai...

Re: Count duplicate lines filter and non-Roman script
Help for this filter includes: The file need NOT be sorted prior to this filter. That may well be, but the output of using this filter on an input stream with a mixture of Unicode blocks comes out in a very strange order! The output of this filter then needs to be piped into the Sort filter and UTF-...

Restrict filters - new idea
Today it occurred to me that a useful enhancement to TextPipe would take the form of a new filter action in which one could have: Restrict to when variable X is equal to variable Y or Restrict to when variable X is not equal to variable Y This would make use of global variable numbers 1 to 9 defined...

Linux terminology in a Windows app ???
The Common filters part of the Home ribbon has an option labelled Grep.
All Linux users know what this is.
Few Windows only users would be familiar with the term!
You may wish to provide a more suitable label.

Suggestions for a UI improvements
Would it be feasible for the UI to be improved to provide an optional full-window view of the currently selected filter? This would make editing easier for filters. Think how YouTube videos can expand to full-window and back to normal. There's always plenty of room in the grey header bar of a filter...

Re: Word wrap - a plea for this to become a persistent setting
I often use a tree-structure for my more complex filters, using Comment filters to describe what each branch and sub-branch is for.
Long lines in comment filters benefit from word wrap.
Hence the desire for persistency.

Word wrap - a plea for this to become a persistent setting
Currently, word wrap applies only as long as the current filter is in view - after it has been applied via the context menu . It would make better sense for word wrap to be persistent between filters and to provide a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on/off. Suggested key combo Ctrl-W . + The context m...

Misleading log output lines
When the Replace filter is used to Send variable N to subfilter the corresponding log output line is: 2020-04-27 14:29:24,Info, 0 replace(s) performed, 150 skipped for pattern match [^<chapter( osisID="Ps\.\d+)">] 2020-04-27 14:29:24,Info, Capture text to variable @osisID It seems to me that "150 sk...

Re: Some external replace list files no longer work when the search type is Perl
Hi Simon, This has now become a very critical issue! A very complex filter that was working perfectly in March 2017 now no longer works properly! Debugging the filter to apply a workaround for every external replace list is going to be a very tedious task. I had hoped just to spend a small amount of...

Re: TextPipe 11 has removed some of my Windows Shell Extensions!
It seems that my restored entry 46 does now show in the Windows Explorer Shell menu for TextPipe, even though the table still only displays 45 rows in the editing UI. However, selecting this bottom entry from Windows Explorer Context Menu results in the specified filter not being found! It seems to ...

TextPipe 11 has removed some of my Windows Shell Extensions!
Have you set an arbitrary limit on the number of shell extensions one can have? Since installing TextPipe v11.x (now 11.4), I found that the Context Menu for TextPipe now has a few of my earlier Windows Shell Extension options missing. I had almost 50 extensions before, but now the last one is numbe...
