Filter list ribbon

Hi Simon, Unlike the context menu, the Filter list ribbon lacks options for Move up/down ( at same level ). Being so accustomed to using the context menu for most things, I rarely use this ribbon, but having noticed these omissions last week, I thought it would be useful to bring to your attention. ...

Replace filter: Custom-delimited record

The UI for the Replace filter : Custom-delimited record has no means to define the custom delimiter! To the right of the Find type selector, the UI displays "(from search field)Delimiter: Text qualifier:" but there's no edit field to set either of these. This is a poor show compared to the Restrict ...

Re: Unicode normalize filters?

Hi Simon,

If it's likely that it will take a lot of time and effort to fix the bugs in the Unicode Normalize filters, it would be preferable to disable them in the next release and restore them only after they have been properly fixed and thoroughly tested.

Best regards,

David

Re: Unicode normalize filters?

There's something critically wrong in the Normalize to NFD filter. It's far worse than reported in my previous comments. Here are some Latin letters with various diacritics: ÀÁÂÃÄÅÇÈÉËÌÍÎÏÑÒÓÔÖØÙÚÛÜÝ àáâãäåçèéêëìíîïñòóôõöøùúûüýÿ ĀāĂ㥹ĆćĈĉĊċČčĎďĐđĒēĔĕĖėĘęĚěĜĝĞğ ĠġĢģĤĥĦħĨĩĪīĬĭĮįİĴĵĶķĹĺĻļĽľĿ With the ...

Re: Unicode normalize filters?

Unicode Normalization using TextPipe 10.6.2 still has critical problems. The filter Normalize to NFD completely removes some characters such as the following: U+0364 ͤ COMBINING LATIN SMALL LETTER E U+0365 ͥ COMBINING LATIN SMALL LETTER I U+036D ͭ COMBINING LATIN SMALL LETTER T This is totally unwa...

TextPipe 10.6.2 "New features in this release"

In the Help for TextPipe 10.6.2 , the page called "New features in this release" only covers up to 10.6.1 – December 17, 2017. Aside: At the foot of this help page you still find this: What's New in TextPipe – pending =========================================== * 64 bit Windows Explorer shell extens...

Re: Feedback requested: Workspace feature

I tend to have at most three or four filters open at any one time. I'd usually only be developing one filter at a time. The others would be open either because they perform ancillary tasks (pre/post-processing) or if they contained subfilters I wanted to copy. Several text editors include options fo...

Re: TextPipe installation setup issues

Hi Simon,

Were you looking in the wrong place?

The taskbar shortcut clearly disappears during the Uninstall process that happens automatically as part one of the the setup for TextPipe x32.

The Install process does not add it back again!

Best regards,

David

Simon replied "Thanks David – a number of the uploads were truncated – I have fixed this now.".

I confirm that this has been fixed. Today's download was fine.

Corrupted setup file TextPipe Standard 10.6.2

After I downloaded the new release, the setup file was corrupted.

Repeating the download did not solve the problem.

I have also emailed Simon on this.

Whichever is easiest to implement.

If it's usable, then you'll get feedback on the new feature.

Re: Remove lines filter - only processes one line range

That the UI presents a multiline pane rather than a single line is therefore misleading.

How many other filters are like this?

Filter with no help page

The filter entitled Restrict to zip internal filenames matching perl pattern [] has no contextual help page.

Furthermore, one should expect there to also be a filter called Restrict to zip internal filenames NOT matching perl pattern [].

David
