Environment variable @inputFile@ is truncated

When I use the variable @inputFile@ the last character of the filename is missing!

e.g. For a file called 01Gen01.htm the variable @inputFile@ gave only 01Gen0.

I think this is a software bug.

The same issue affects the equivalent @Filename@.

Unicode 11.0

Unicode 11.0 was released by the Unicode Consortium on 2018-06-05.
See https://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode11.0.0/

Which is the latest version of Unicode that TextPipe supports ?

Re: TextPipe v10.0.6 Replace List Filter - rows cannot be selected

In TextPipe 10.7 any row can be edited in Windows Shell Extensions, but there are still significant issues with the UI.

I have therefore added a separate post.

Re: Unicode normalize filters?

Hi Simon, I installed TextPipe 10.7 earlier today. I have tested Normalize to NFC and Normalize to NFD on some suitable input files. So far, I've not come across any problems, so I think this longstanding critical issue may well be fixed. I'll probably test these filters on further data sets as time...

TextPipe 10.7 - Editing Windows Shell Extensions - still not quite right

Hi Simon, I installed TextPipe 10.7 earlier today. One still cannot easily select a single row and move it while editing Windows Shell Extensions . The row selection highlight still seems to be between rows. Moving the selection by drag & drop moved two rows. There are further critical bugs in this ...

Re: Bug in Find whole words only option for replace list filter

Hi SImon, Then even the Windows view of which ANSI characters are word characters is faulty, seeing as ñ (U+00F1 aka \xF1) is within the decimal range 0-255 and it's not a punctuation mark! I'll try with the \b suggestion when I get time - having read what this does; I've not made use of this before...

Re: Unicode normalize filters?

Thanks Simon, That's good news at last. CombiningMarks and NonSpacingMarks should never be removed as part of Unicode Normalization . btw. Am I correct in assuming that these are just alternative names for Combining Diacritical Marks and Spacing Modifier Letters ? Those would include the Unicode blo...

Bug in Find whole words only option for replace list filter

This is in the context of using the Replace list filter with Pattern (perl) as find type. My tab-delimited external Replace list contains this as one of the many lines: \xF3 o It's designed to replace the accented letter "ó" by the unaccented letter "o" and is set to apply with Match case , Find who...

Environment variable @inputPath and accented letters?

I found a strange problem with the Output filter when using the following as the Output path : @inputPath..\USFM If part of the input path happens to include any non-ASCII letters (e.g. with an accent, as in the Spanish name Rubén ), the output path is not properly implemented because these non-ASCI...

Replace filter - clicking Help on this filter doesn't work

If you click the link "Help on this filter" at the bottom right of the Replace filter called Find pattern (perl style) , nothing happens anymore.

A few of the other Replace filters behave in the same manner.

Help for Find Exactly works.

Replace list filter - omission from clipboard copy

Hi Simon, The clipboard copy of the Replace list filter omits a record of the tick-box option called " Only log when a replace occurs ". Please rectify this for the next release. Thanks . Best regards, David PS. It may be worth checking to see whether any other file export formats omit this too.
