Re: Suggestion: Provide filter Remove all diacritics

They are definitely available -subject to the Unicode library being up-to-date. We could code this now but against the older Unicode library.

Re: Unicode 11.0

We've made a request for the open source component to be updated
http://issuetracker.delphi-jedi.org/view.php?id=6679

In the meantime, we are switching the regex component to a more recent offering and seeing which other Unicode functions are available that we can leverage.

Re: Subtle bug in Convert Numeric HTML/XML Entities to text

Hi David,

This definitely is an issue with TextPipe 10.7.2.

But testing with TextPipe 10.8, the issue is no longer there.

Re: Some external replace list files no longer work when the search type is Perl

Macros such as @inputfilename@, and environment variables such as %current_user% can be parsed.

I can't tell precisely when this was added without digging into the weeds, but could this be an issue?

Re: Suggestion: Provide filter Remove all diacritics

I think this is covered by properties available in the unicode definition:

ccDiacritic, // Characters that linguistically modify the meaning of another character to which they apply. Some diacritics are not combining characters, and some combining characters are not diacritics.

Re: Unicode 11.0

There are two Unicode components in TextPipe - the pattern matching engine is quite current, but the individual transforms (NKF etc) are much older.

Could we just use this list?: https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/combining/230

Re: Input filenames containing non-ANSI characters?

Hi David,

Is this with 10.7.2? We have worked to progressively remove any such limitations, so if you can provide an example of where it still lurks, we will take care of it.

Thanks,

Simon

Re: Using a configured Diff Tool to apply a patch?

I can't really see how this work in the TextPipe processing model.

Thanks for the thought though!
